Airplane Food In Economy Vs. First Class On 5 Airlines

If you’ve ever had a long flight then you know that airplane food isn’t exactly gourmet. But as it turns out, some passengers fare better than others when it comes to in-flight meals. While you’re picking away at your meal in economy class, business and first class passengers are enjoying dinners that look like they came out of a 5-star restaurant (where are they preparing these anyways?). Don’t believe us? See for yourself. Here are some differences between economy and business class airplane food:

1. Singapore Airlines

Dinner in economy class:

This chicken and mash potato meal looks straight out of a microwave meal box. But wait, what’s that they’re eating up there?

Dinner in first class:

Roasted duck and fruit salad. Casual.

2. Emirates Airlines

Dinner in economy class:

This curry doesn’t look half bad.

Dinner in first class:

But it certainly doesn’t look as good as fresh salmon and Dom Perignon.

3.Turkish Airlines

Dinner in economy class:

Looks a little like hospital food.

Dinner in business class:

WOAH.

4. Air France

Dinner in economy class:

Pasta and a “fresh” baguette are the perks of flying Air France.

Dinner in first class:

But racks of lamb and personal TV are only reserved for the first class.

5. British Airways

Dinner in economy class:

Bangers and mash from the dingiest pub, I’m sure.

Appetizer in first class:

This is an appetizer?! I can only imagine the main course.
